Masbate is one province that part of Bicol Region. It is compose of 20 municipality and one city- The Masbate City and 550 barangays. It is also composed of three main island- Masbate, Ticao, and Burias. It is founded in March 10 1917. According to geologist this province was described as a province sitting on a “pot of gold”. Other minerals found in the area are manganese, copper, silver, iron, chromite, limestone, guano, and carbon. Masbate is rank as the second cattle raiser in the country. The leading product of Masbate is copra followed by corn rice and root crops. The other source of income in this area is from fishing that considered as the major industry along the cost.
